Getting Help

No, you do not need to be Catholic to receive help. However, you do need to live within the service area of one of our conferences.

When you request help from The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, members from your area will contact you to discuss your current needs and determine how the society can best help.

Depending on your specific situation, assistance may available for emergency rent, utilities, food, clothing, or other items. We can also assist with referrals for further support and services.

Contact your nearest Catholic Church. Search online for “Catholic church near me.” Then call the church to request assistance.

You do not need to be Catholic to request help from your local church or from SVdP.

For food pantries operated by SVdP conferences, view our list of locationsYou can also search online for “Food pantry near me”.

Review our list of SVdP locations to find a conference in your area. Then call the number listed. If you aren’t sure which conference to contact, call 211 for assistance. 

If you do not live in the service area of an SVDP conference, contact your local Catholic church for assistance. Search online for “Catholic Church near me”.

When you contact us to request help, we may use your information to contact a landlord or utility to make a payment on your behalf. We may also provide your information to a third party for the purpose of referral.

Donations and Service

We currently accept donations online or by mail. You can also donate cars, boats, and other vehicles through the National Vehicle Donation Program.

Yes, when you donate by mail or through the national vehicle donation program, you will receive a receipt for tax purposes.

Your donation will be used to provide food, shelter, and other assistance for the homeless and low income in the Western half of Oklahoma.

Yes, but you must specify the conference when you send your donation.
